New Work

Hmmm...maybe a bit too much ground in this one? The tree silhouette is beautiful and kind of sad hidden behind that wall. I'd like to see an image that emphasizes it a little more. A lot of your recent work has a similar distance from the subject to you. Maybe mix that up a bit? Just a thought...

Thanks Bill,
I agree that this image could be better. It was one of those situations that the light caught my eye and by the time I made a couple images of it the light was gone. This was the middle of 4-5 images, the first had the light all the way down to just the top of the benches, the last had the best composition but no light. Planing to re shoot soon.

I have been starting to vary my distance and lenses more in the past month, but I don's seem to like the images i am getting.

We get together every few months or so and you should definitely join us. I'd like to hear your thoughts on what I'm working on right now. Of course Sarah B is usually there, and she's pretty tough!

I love this light. I'm still trying to figure out the whole distance thing, but thanks for the advice the other day. I really needed to speak to someone who was once where I am now.
